When we ask her how she was able to come to Karbala and how the walk has been going so far?! she bursts into tears and wishes to be able to be in Karbala again! Because she believes that the trip to Karbala is not worldly, even when choosing clothes for the trip, she would choose clothes that are suitable for the mourning of Hazrat Seyyed al-Shuhda (AS) and his companions.
The backpacks of Arbaeen pilgrims should be packed lightly so that they return lighter; Most people know this actress from the Ramadan TV series “Brother” and “Gando”.
She talks about her Arbaeen walk: Arbaeen pilgrimage as a whole raises the concept of knowledge and belief in values to its peak. Arbaeen is a phenomenon where all fellow travelers are together to reach a specific destination, away from hatred and arrogance, and everyone loves each other; Everyone talks to their Imam in their way and language, and it’s a strange situation that I can’t describe.
She mentions Europeans and Americans whispering the name of Imam Hussain (AS): I saw Europeans and Americans during the Arbaeen walk. We did not understand each other’s language; There was an elegy being played and maybe they didn’t know the meaning of some words, but everyone was mourning and saying the name of Imam Hussain (AS) loudly. All these experiences added to my knowledge and understanding and I would like to experience this trip again.
Pointing out the magnitude of Imam Hussain’s (AS) movement, she said: It is so extensive that in every single moment of my journey, my heart trembled with the miracles that I witnessed. She emphasizes: The movement that Imam Hussain (AS) started in Ashura is so powerful that I have been thinking about its philosophy and the miracles of Karbala the whole time; Everyone should go on this trip and see what is going on in Karbala; The moments when my heart trembled. Not everyone can go on this walk and I was granted with this opportunity! I always thank God for this favor and I wish to experience this happiness again.
She continues: To go to Karbala and participate in the Arbaeen procession, it is enough to pray from the bottom of our hearts and to want to be on this journey, Imam himself will invite us. The first time I went to Karbala, it was a miracle; A friend called me and asked me to forgive him (Halaliat) because he wanted to go to Karbala. He told me, they had an empty place and if I wanted, I could take his sister’s place on the journey; It was only the second year that the Iraqi borders were open to the public and the restrictions concerning passports and regulations were not as solid as today so I miraculously made my way to Karbala.
Sogol Tahmasbi remembers the love and affection of the foreigners on the Arbaeen walk, she says: I went for the first time in 1383, which happened miraculously, and the second time I went in 1396! Whenever I want to remember those days, I remember that the group I was with, a German lady, an Arab, and some Iranians. They had German flags on their backpacks and a lady and a gentleman who spoke English. I always remember those days when the power of love for Ahl al-Bayt and Imam Hussain (AS) was so strong that could bring all of us with different thoughts, and languages together. An image of different countries that were all moving in the same direction. All these images are engraved in my mind, and I have posted an article on my social media as a reminder of those days.
The movie and TV actress believes that our films and series can be a showcase of attention to our religion, she notes: that one interesting point is the attention of foreign series and movies to their religion and beliefs; For example, in American movies, we see that their prayers and religious customs are depicted in different parts of in the film. One difference we have with these Hollywood friends is that they try to indirectly include religious elements in a story that has nothing to do with religion. We always have these expectations in our religious works. These types of ideas and representations of religion can be included in popular series, family dramas, and other forms of media.
